Manager(s) of Event Production


Under the direction of the Zimele Executive Director, the Manager of Event Production will oversee the planning and implementation of events to further Zimele’s mission. This includes ensuring all fundraising events are within budget, meet financial objectives, and appropriately represent Zimele to the donor community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement event calendar in coordination with Zimele Board of Directors and Executive Director.

  • Assess existing fundraising events and recommend improvements for future events.

  • Work with Manager of Volunteer Management to adequately staff Zimele events.

  • Utilize events to increase Zimele awareness and fundraising efforts.

  • Document all Zimele events for newsletters & social media.


Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge:

- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, enthusiastic personality

- Ability to work independently and creatively, as well as part of a team

- Solid writing, communication, organizational and time management skills

- Strong computer skills (PC or MAC): Microsoft Office, Internet
