Job Title Bookkeeper (Part-time)

Employer Zimele USA is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization focused on confronting the root causes of poverty by empowering women in South Africa with financial literacy skills, resources, and support networks to become self-sufficient, benefiting themselves and their communities.
Location Englewood, New Jersey
Job Purpose To help Zimele maintain financial transaction records by maintaining accounts, posting and reconciling transactions, and preparing reports.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly banking and credit card reconciliation via Quick Books.
  • Prepare and submit monthly payroll, state and federal payroll taxes and quarterly payroll reporting via Quick Books.
  • Maintain timely records of Zimele income and expenses via Quick Books.
  • Track and report monthly donations from donors/sponsors.
  • Record donor deposits into Quick Books.
  • Make bank deposits when needed.
  • Follow-up on donor pledges and invoicing.
  • Send gifts-in-kind donation letters following any received donations.
  • Perform yearly inventory count.
  • Perform end of year closing.
  • Assist with yearly external review or audit.
Skills/Qualifications Administrative and bookkeeping background with Quick Books, preferably Quick Books online experience; data entry; attention to detail; confidentiality; thoroughness
Compensation $15-$18 per hour
